what is the hardest thing for you about working on a soap?

Kristen Alderson:
I don't think there's anything too hard about it! I wouldn't change a thing.

Is this going to be a real pre-teen romance for Starr? Is that hard for you when you probably don't even have a real-life boyfriend yet?

Kristen Alderson:
I did have a real-life boyfriend once before! I did! I guess it really does relate to a real relationship. We pretty much do all the same things like going to movies and stuff. But the situation is very different.

You're one of the most grown-up young actresses on TV. Is it hard for you to be with kids your own age after spending so much of your time with adults?

Kristen Alderson:
I always wanted to have a kid my age on the show, so I was happy when Connor came on the show. I didn't have a problem working with adults but you want someone around who can relate to you. I do have my brother but he's not really my age.

I was wondering, how long did it take you to shoot the scenes from your new story line? Also, how many pages of lines do you have to memorize at a time for each shooting? Did you ad-lib at all?

For the lines, we had to learn what you saw us do. With some of the movements, we ad-libbed but with the lines you have to stick to the book.

After all these years, KasseDP must feel like a second mother to you. Does she give you advice and do you guys do fun stuff together off set?

Kristen Alderson:
We do fun stuff together off set and she is like a second mother to me. We have sleepovers all the time. She has a son named JQ who is six and he's very sweet. I play with him when I sleep over and we talk. When I slept over her house once and we were all at the dinner table, I just got up without saying anything and she said, 'Excuse me, come back and ask to be excused.' So, now when I go over to her house I am the most polite girl!

Kristen, will Starr ever get her wish that Todd and Blair will reunite and they can all be a family?

Kristen Alderson:
I don't know. I think Starr will definitely try to get her parents back together. But I don't think she's going to keep trying as hard. You have to watch and see!

Connor Paolo:
There's a lot that's going to happen after some interesting things happen in New York. It's possible that I might turn up in Llanview.

First off, I have to say that you are truely a very talented actress. I was wondering how you like working with Trevor St.John? The two of you seem to have very good chemistry.

If you could write your own storyline what would it be and who would it involve? Keep up the good work! You are both amazing!

Kristen Alderson:
We had a great storyline for our first start. We had romance, we were on location, it is an ideal storyline.

I auditioned when I was five or six so when I went in they were very nice to me. They recognized me from the play, "Annie" (I played Molly) so they liked me.

I did three auditions for Travis. Two were with ten other boys, after that it was narrowed down to six boys. We then read with Kristen, then it was narrowed to three boys. And during the entire process she was giving me the eye. (Wink Wink.) I like to audition with castmembers because that's smart to do when you have two people who are going to have a relationship on screen.

What was it like when you had to get used to working with Walker/Todd when you worked with Roger Howarth for so long? Do you keep in touch with Roger Howarth? You're great on the show and I really look forward to watching you!

Kristen are you and your character Starr anything alike? I enjoy wacthing you, you are such a talented young girl, thanks for all the crazy stuff that Starr does..

Kristen Alderson:
I am nothing like Starr. I love playing the role of Starr but I would never be that way in real life. It's so much fun to play somebody who's totally crazy and does these things that I would never do. It would be less interesting to play someone more like me.

how do you get all your schoolwork done and still do so well on the show?

Kristen Alderson:
For me it's very hard because I go to school in Pennsylvania. It's getting very hard for me as I'm progressing from grade to grade. Next year I think I'm going to be homeschooled because it was so difficult for me. I will be graduating with my class though.

Connor Paolo:
I go to a Performing Arts school so they're really supportive of what I do. A lot of kids are in the same field as me so they're used to that. They make it as easy as they possibly can. As long as I keep my grades up they have no problem with me working.

Kristen: Love your work. You hold your own with all the cast over there. My ? is are there some stories that are more difficult for you to play on the screen? Your current story seems more realistic as a kid Starr's age, rather than go through all her parent's problems. Whats your favorite story you have been involved in so far?

Kristen Alderson:
This story is my favorite so far. I find it so much fun to play. My second favorite was the Dr. Troy on the wheel storyline.

Being mean to Kassie (Blair) was hard to play. Then there were these babies that played Jack as an infant and I had to be mean to them and yell at them. But in real life I loved them and would hold them all the time so it was hard to be so mean.

Kristen, did you ever imagine that you would grow up on a soap opera? what is it like growing up in front of the camera?

Kristen Alderson:
It's a lot of fun. I didn't get to see the promo yet but there is one that's on right now that says, 'You've watched her grow up' and they actually have pictures of me as a little, little girl on the show.

Connor Paolo:
I didn't grow up in front of the cameras because I didn't start until I was nine and that's pretty old for a child actor.

How do you feel about the current storyline and do you feel it's responsible for other kids who spend time online?

Connor Paolo:
I think the storyline is great for kids to do. It's a lot of fun. I never really used the Internet because I have a really slow computer. Good and bad came out of this story and I think we are teaching a lesson for parents to keep an eye on what their children are doing online.

Don't assume that anything that goes wrong isn't your fault. I've learned to be responsible and accountable.

Kristen Alderson:
I've learned that adults can be like kids sometimes. They're just as fun and just as nice and interesting. I don't think kids my age understand that. When I go to charity events, most of the people are adults and I have a great time with all of them.

When I was nine, the first role I got was on "All My Children." I really like working on a soap because I just came off of doing films and doing things in two or three takes is better than doing things in twenty.

I just do the voices, I don't contribute anything else. I love those animated cartoons and they're fun to record.

It was Kristen's first kiss! And it was better than any scenes she'd had before.

The whole time he was making fun of me! It was very sweet and I think everybody will enjoy it and find it heartwarming because it's Starr's first kiss - and mine!

Love watching OLTL and both of you guys on it. Are there any funny things that happened to either of you on the set that you wouldn't mind sharing?

Connor Paolo:
The guys like to kid around and the people who have been on the show can get away with it. I did one scene with Bob Woods (Bo) and we're getting ready to tape and he says we're going to do the scene again. So he steps out and says for no reason, 'I have Hercules Unchained on DVD.' It just cracked me up.

Kristen Alderson:
There was a sandwich I had to eat on the show and it was really bad, I was just gagging. Then recently I was doing a scene on the remote and the trailer was about a block away. I really had to go to the bathroom and I had to do my two scenes. So when I finally went to the bathroom I was practically waddling.

kristen, who were you most intimidated by when you started? and do you give your brother advice on how to play scenes?

Kristen Alderson:
Working with Phil (Asa) should have been intimidating but he was great. Working with him was fun and I loved it. It's a great place to work, it's like a family.

Connor Paolo:
I was intimidated by Kristen, because I hoped that I would be on the show for more than a week and if Kristen didn't like me it would suck to be around. Also, I had five or six Italians come up to me and say that if I did anything wrong to Kristen I would be killed.
